2City (and all) - my son would like to sign-up for a team in this league - he wants the Twins (as a MN guy). Would anyone object to this? I have Brooklyn, so we'd be in different divisions, etc. But still wanted to disclose and run this by everyone first before he would sign up. He's a good kid - 15 going on 20 and there would be no collusion, I can assure you that (he got some very strong principles form somewhere...). Will wait to hear from the commish. This would be his first official team - he played a couple of the free '86 games for me a couple years back, so has some experience and he's a math whiz.

[quote:7cdb360a1a="gfdwarf07"][quote:7cdb360a1a="Paul_Long71"]why is there a NEL team in this Post-WWII....they should be VERY dominant.[/quote:7cdb360a1a]

I thought the same at first, but maybe the 100M will be the leveler?[/quote:7cdb360a1a]

I'm concerned as well with the Nel team being dominant, was wishing they were spread out a bit. Maybe the 100 mil might help....I'm sure 2cityfan already took a close look at this, he knows how to run a competitive league.

I personally have no problem with this.

As far as the NeL team, at 100M it's harder than it looks, but I am willing to accept some concessions if the commish and the rest of the league believe it necessary for balance.

[b:3b96f39f5a]GFDWARf07[/b:3b96f39f5a] - I am fine if your son wants to take the Senators/Twins

[b:3b96f39f5a]Paul_Long71[/b:3b96f39f5a] - No doubt The NEL team will be very good with so many high priced players.. I am surprised SOM includes them in the POST WW2, but there you have it. I needed them in this set to round out the 23 other teams. If I take them out, and spread the talent across the other 23 teams I think some team(s) will not be competitive enough.. No perfect answer, but it's the best I could do to balance things out.

I think at the 100 Mil level, the NEL team will still have to make some trade offs that will not allow them to dominate.. If they load up with Gibson, Charleston, and other big hitters, their pitching will make them vulnerable...
