Discounts for new referrals

OK, so I told somebody they could get the offers for a new customer (2 teams for $14.95) plus I get a $10 credit. But they created a user name and password and cannot find any way to get that deal in purchasing a team. I gave them the code that I was provided when I hit the "tell a friend" button, but they said their only option seemed to be buying a team for $124.95.

I am sure this has been discussed before, but can someone help me figure out what to tell him? Or point me to the right resource?

I think it's safe to say that if he sees an option to buy a team for $124.95, he shouldn't click it. ;)

OK, he's also apparently prone to exaggeration! Just a typo there. Thanks Bernie. This guy is my son and he did send a help request last evening (axeman11). I'll tell him to wait to hear. He still is filled with false aspirations of glory through strat championships. But if he has his old man's luck, he should probably adopt some patience and buy some Tums. :P
