I've lost all interest - UPDATE, back in with a 5 pack

Very strange the past few months, except for two theme leagues, I've not been motivated to play TSN SOM.

Even with the last team I have active, I barely check it every two or three days.

Is there a little blue pill for this?, are my T levels low?, do I need a new card set?, am I losing too much, worse yet have I lost interest after in SOM since I've turned 47?

I've had as many as 10 teams active at once in the past, has this happened to anyone else?

I've seen some others have similar posts. I have not had this experience. I've had at least 3 or 4 teams active at all times since I started and couldn't comprehend not having teams to check each morning. Vacations to places without the internet was challenging at first but I've learned to cope with that (if only done rarely).

I'm still mainlining strato, but not as much as I used to. There was a time when I had 6-8 teams going at once. I don't do that anymore, but I will keep 1 team doing at all times in each of the 3 mystery card games.

Maybe it's the workplace demanding more work out of less people making the work day longer and harder. Maybe it's just a little tougher all around with a poor economy. Who knows...maybe you'll snap out of it and get that thrill back.

Keep your chin up so HAL can land a good curve ball on your jaw...:)

C'mon latorrer, you'll rebound. I thought I was tiring also, only have 1 team active now and am sorry I don't have more. I hopped into a keeper league and will buy myself a Christmas present Sunday and load another team.

Have a beer and c'mon back and beat Wooten's butt!!

Time for a break from SOM?

Postby Larryrickenbacker » Sun Dec 25, 2011 12:38 am

Howdy,

Latorrer, it may be time to take a 30 day break from SOM. 60 days, even. Perhaps your are burnt out on it? It's understandable, given that you've been immersed in as deeply as you say. Just my two cents..

I'm in the same boat - I don't think I've had a team for about 6 months. Maybe it's burnout, not sure. I always get the urge around this time of the year, though. Just wish the upgrades were done with the BTT80's game. It's been so long overdue.

My luck, I'll get back in a league and my good pal JimmyC will be in the league and bury me like he always does :)

I approached burnout a few times. Ultimately, my solution was to only play one team at a time.

The disadvantage of one team is when I get swept, I really hate the game for 24 hours!
