Clutch Hitting- New Player Question

I know how the clutch hitting works (from the CD-ROM) is it used here at TSN? And if so:

1. Do you avoid players who have a real bad negative clutch? There are so many of them, it is much more rare for a player to have positive clutch than to have negative clutch.

2. Who are some of the best clutch hitters in the 5-8 million dollar range?

This is just my three cents, I do not think clutch should be used in these draft salary cap leagues. The clutch system was setup for use in stock team replays.

Clutch hitting is important to different degrees on different teams.

All teams though really try to avoid horrible clutch in the 5, 6 and maybe 7 spots in an order. Personally, I don't think it's that relevant in the 3 and 4 hole as one should just focus on having great hitters instead. I feel that a guy like George Sisler or Hugh Duffy are such great hitters that even with their -10 clutch they're still hitting for an incredible average even in the rare "clutch" situations.

In general, the deadball guys are very good clutch hitters and the kind of teams they're on (small-ball) are the ones that need good clutch the most as bomber teams don't need to manufacture runs as much.

Lajoie and the expensive home run baker. Joe morgan, eddie collins and Buck Weaver are another great bunch of clutch hitters

In the right park (like one where LH get 15+ HR), Callison is incredible. Crap average, good HR power, fantastic glove, injury proof, and drives in a ton of guys for the number of hits. +10/11 clutch seems to work really really well for Callison.
