Hugh Duffy .440 Batting Average

I am an old Strat-O-Matic fan who played with cards and dice many years ago and have played the CD ROM with various seasons for many years. But what sold me on trying this version is the sheer number of players and cards to choose from. WOW! The choices are unbelievable, I love it!

Has anyone used the Hugh Duffy card with the .440 batting average? I was wondering if he is worth the money. I am still learning the salary cap aspect which I also like a lot! This is like a dream come true for an old Strat fan like me. Thanks in advance for any comments on Duffy or any comments on how to decide if a player is worth the money.
