Adding (poached) ballparks...

The idea of adding a few ballparks to ATG that we can "poach" from other player sets has been brought up. I can certainly add a few with an upcoming batch of new cards, but let's go over a few things first.

- First, obviously, which parks? I think about 5 or so parks from this selection would be a good number to add. Let's be sure there's a good reason to add them, i.e. there aren't already a lot of similar parks in ATG. One specific request I've received recently from The Rabid Wolverines is Wrigley '86.

- There was [url=http://forums.sportingnews.com/viewtopic.php?t=627080]a short thread posted a few months ago[/url] where the idea of adding new parks was discussed, and in it I noticed there were 2 or 3 of you who were not totally in favor of it. I didn't see reasons given beyond "I think there are enough parks already", but if there are more compelling arguments, I'm listening, as always. Otherwise it does appear that the majority of you are in favor of these minor additions.

- We won't be exploring fully customizable "designer parks" at this time because that's just a bit too radical for now.

Seems like park issues are less emotional and more practical
than player decisions. I would expect less negative feedback,
but you never know !!!

The five ballparks seem rather obvious, how about the ones opened since 2005:

(New) Busch Stadium -2008
(New) Yankee Stadium -2009
Citi Field - 2009
Nationals Park -2009
Target Field -2010

How about Jarry Park 1969, 16 16 14 14? We don't have Jarry Park at all. It was a fun park.

It would seem to me the important thing on adding parks is not that we do not have the specific park but rather that the park's ratings provide something unique or allow for some new strategy.

Coors 1995 (19,19,19,19) - because pitchers need abuse

Astrodome 1997 (2,2,2,2) - if Petco is gone, I want the extra HR/single spread evenly

Petco 2009 (1,1,1,3) - because I like it

Kaufmann 2009 (19,15,3,3) - Because I like this one too

Im glad this idea didnt die. Unfortunately I didnt see exactly what I was looking for, no ones fault on that-

Here are a few that caught my eye-- in general, I tried to select parks that have a distinct slant, but not overwhelmingly so-- it makes for more interesting strategy from a team-building standpoint. In general, most of these slant toward smallball and pitching:
