With a few exceptions, it seems as though the pitching and hitting parks are grouped together alphabetically, meaning that it's likely that the teams in each division will be similar if divisions are determined alphabetically by stadium.

Based on the above, perhaps a different method for determining the division for each team should be considered.

A random divisional assignment, or grouping the divisions based on draft position, such as 1,4,7,10, 2,5,8,11 and 3,6,9,12 might provide for more diversity of teams in each division, rather than similar teams ending up in the same division if an alphabetical assignment is used.

An interesting point. Perhaps we should randomize the divisions after the draft is complete? This will allow for some variation in placement.

I am assuming no one cares how divisions are assigned? Or is the alphabetical nature of the parks a consideration in your drafting? If not, I propose we assign divisions randomly AFTER the draft. We run a second randomizer, and assign East, Central, West in order:

East=1,2,3,4
Central=5,6,7,8
West=9, 10,11,12

Fair enough?
