ESPN's Pedro Gomez apparently voted for Mueller... but didn't see fit to vote for Jeff Bagwell or Tim Raines.

Larkin had a lot of competition for all star games until Ozzie Smith retired. Also Ozzie cost Larkin several gold gloves.

I've been boycotting the HOF for a while. The refusal of writers to put Santo in. Their eventual losing of their minds to put Jim Rice in. 19% for McGwire. 4 votes for Bill Mueller (does he have pictures of Pedro Gomez with a goat?). And so on. The writers are the best keepers of the flame, but that doesn't make them any less terrible at it.

I wish Jack Morris would get his due. A workhorse with a ton of wins and 4 rings. The man could pitch. And I don't think he ever played in anything that could be called a pitcher's park.

I'd go with Trammell being on par with Larkin in most categories, save for speed. He was very good for a very long time (same as Larkin).

And Raines! Where is the love for Raines, man? Best leadoff man of the era not named Rickey.
