[quote:b03e9f9226]Larkin won an MVP in 95, Allstar games 13 to 5.[/quote:b03e9f9226]I tend to doubt Trammell was better than Larkin, but neither of these rationalizations holds up. Trammell was utterly robbed of the MVP in 1987. And with Cal Ripken in the league, Trammell had zero shot to ever be elected to the All-Star team, whereas Larkin had very little competition among NL shortstops.
[quote:b03e9f9226]Vinny Castilla 6 (1.0%), Tim Salmon 5 (0.9%), Bill Mueller 4 (0.7%), Brad Radke 2 (0.3%), Javy Lopez 1 (0.2%), Eric Young 1 (0.2%)[/quote:b03e9f9226]The votes for the no-hopers are most likely intended to be "tips of the hat". So that's not quite as bad as not knowing anything about baseball, although it's still pretty stupid. (And even more stupid when four different people feel the need to do it for the same mediocre guy. Maybe someone thought Tim Salmon was a legitimate Hall of Famer, but I guarantee you no one actually thought Bill Mueller was.)
