go for it! i love the mystery format. keeps you more active. i'd like to see 7 year cards with 5% thru 81 games and 20% the rest of the way. i'd also like to see a maximim year option. 1 pitcher and 1 hitter per team. if you select this option, you are charged that players maximum salary or a stiff premium to lock in the year. however, if you don't select the max option, it doesn't eliminate the max year possibilty.

FWIW it was just a random thought that came to me as I was thinking about the next teasers. I don't explicitly remember you posting it but if you say you did then I believe you. I also didn't say that I like the idea, not a huge fan of mystery games. But it might be an interesting option, or options if both Roosky's idea and the standard format were available. But if ATG became [b:cdb78b70d5]only[/b:cdb78b70d5] a mystery game, I probably would quit too.

Im sure the thread is out there; Its just a bit exasperating when there is the sentiment that its a bad idea when I posted it back then- which I remember sayng it should just be an option...

I think the difference in reception the two threads got was primarily because of just floating the idea as a league option.

Plus I think the vets like yourself who have been here longer deserve more attention in general from the strat public.

...but its been a good night- I was able to get a few cats who really dont swing well to swing a bit, and now this - ahhhhh my lifes complete. 8-) 8-)

How about a league option that restricts the ATG player set to a randomly selected batch of 750 or so with a talent distribution that is more like a single season?
