[quote:5c0dd9f55d="PotKettleBlack"]Unclear why Carey has an injury. PIT 22 went 89 and 65. Carey played 155 games (not sure how). He should be bulletproof.[/quote:5c0dd9f55d]

He effectively is. He had 629 at bats and 80 walks that year, which puts him well over the 680 threshold.

That is not the same thing.

From the help file:[quote:e801408cdb]
What are my hitters' chances of getting injured?

Any position player who [b:e801408cdb]missed a game during his selected real-life year has at least some chance of getting injured.[/b:e801408cdb] However, hitters will have a higher chance of injury if they missed a larger number of games during their selected year.

Additionally, if an injury occurs to a position player in a game, the following chart restricts the maximum length of the injury.

AB+BB in real-life max injury duration
< 600 15 games
600-679 3 games
680+ remainder of game[/quote:e801408cdb]
Carey clearly did not miss a game since he played 155 and the team went 89-65-1.

Gee, 51 SB's 2 CS. Was hoping he'd be a (20-16). Given his 96% success rate, I thought that if anyone would be rated a 20 it would be him; with maybe a 5,6 to get a lead. But funny I was fantasizing about this very card over the weekend, and presto -- it appears. Like the e10 instead of the e13.

Strat is all over the place with wrong ratings on injuries. It's like they specialize in it or something. Makes me crazy.

The 1 in right field doesn't make sense either. I know baseball-reference can be spotty at times with fielding data in the older seasons, but it shows Carey almost exclusively at CF in his career, and he doesn't even have any games in RF in 1922. What basis is there for a 1 in RF and a 2 in CF?

I consider Carey a poor man's Ty Cobb. 7 to 8 million for this card?

Is this what middle age has come to, fantasizing about SOM?

Maybe I'm in the wrong forum, but I still fantasize about beautiful women. That's pretty powerful, fantasizing and it appears. Now if I had that kind of power, Strato cards wouldn't even make the fantasy list, and I'd be too busy and too tired from living out my fantasies to even think about baseball or much of anything else for that matter!

ROFL. BD- better to fantasize about hitting the Power Ball jackpot. The beautiful women will appear as an afterthought, and you will be able to afford lots of time off to attend to them, on tropical beaches yet!

However Carey he will never miss a game correct? He will play in all 162 games no matter what as long as he is in the lineup. he may miss a single at bat or 2

I'll take over. More like $7.25 million.
