You were my nemesis in all those JaserD leagues and I have been ducking you ever since, Bigmahon. :D

Is it just me or does that extra $20 million per team change the whole complexion of this draft?

beach,

fantastic point. to me it appears as though the salaries were created with the multiple cap environments in mind. take someone like roberts for example. he is on the fa pile in almost every auto draft i have done and was taken in the 3rd round in my only other live draft but it was an 80 mill cap lg. but with an extra 20 million he should be top 3 or 5 every time.

That was why I went with 100mil. It's been said that the salaries this year SEEM to have the 100mil game more in mind than the 80mil.

I agree that the salaries appear designed to increase our use of the higher caps. And you definitely have to have a different strategy in a $100m draft versus an $80m draft. This was why I hemmed and hawed so long over the Castillo pick at #13. My inclination was to take another big money/OPS guy there, and I probably should have. But I didn't think that another decent 2B would make it back to me. In fact, Giles has already gone early in Round 2. You don't want to be stuck with Adam Kennedy in a $100m draft. At least I don't.

there are several sparse offensive positions this year, the big bats for the most part all come from one position  :? :o :)

I'm in a holding pattern at the moment...being on the end can fray the nerves. :)

Coincidence (or not) that the next two picks after that statement were 2B's?
