trades and traders

I do think the volume of trading is down. In capped leagues trading is tougher because trying to have the two teams caps balance can be tough. In live draft leagues, trading is much easier, although the manager can get the guys he wants in the live draft as the draft plays out rather than hope to get the guys he wants in a capped draft.

Sometimes I see a trade made between some teams and see a perfectly balanced trade, and others I see a Ruth traded for Delahanty and Rollie Fingers and cringe. I've seen tempers flare at unbalanced trades that make an average team a contender esp. when the new contending team shows no remorse or conscience.

trades

I agree trades are down in the high cap leagues, a possible reason can be that the player pool has gotten so large. I would think that in a 24 team league [200 m] there would be a better chance of teams having holes to fill and it might spike the trading. It also may be interesting to see how close 24 teams can get to the spending limit.

Doesn't sound interesting. At all.

24 teams X $200 million = 4800 million
24 teams X 25 players = 600

That's an AVERAGE of $8 million per player. Impossible for every team to max out the salary cap.
