Send me your rankings for order you would want the teams and a state. I am going to divide these much like our autodraft system once we get four replacements, with a lottery to break the ties. If there is a team that would discourage you from playing if you got, please let me know and perhaps we can work something out. You will have the option of changing your stadium.

Hi guys,

Wanted to resurrect the discussion on prospect promotions. I suggested a rule change earlier which would allow us to promote prospect picks to our 30-man roster in lieu of making a draft pick.

In this scenario, we would:

1) Cut rosters down to 20, exclusive of prospects

2) Start drafting

3) Use our last draft picks to promote any prospects we want to carry on 30-man in lieu of drafting a free agent

Would like to get a sense from the league about this before Turtle & I discuss further.

I'm a little puzzled by the promoting prospects idea - but maybe that's because I don't properly understand the rules as they currently exist!

I thought that a manager can promote a prospect at any time in the year. Or, maybe I'm wrong and you have to do it at some pre-determined point in the preseason.

What are the rules with promoting prospects?

(It isn't a theoretical question for me, since I will likely be promoting Lonnie Chisenhall this year).

So the rule amendment I am proposing is to make it clear that you can promote a prospect to fill roster space vs. using that space to draft a player. The rules are currently unclear on this point, though a prior commish interpretation said that adding prospects during the draft was not allowed.

However, there is no rule that states you can't add prospects during the draft, the rules only say the above about being able to promote a prospect at any time you have roster space, + this:

So I believe we can actually add them during the draft now under current rules, I just wanted to get a sense from the league pro/con before proceeding (with Turtle's ok of course).
