Tebow to Bullpen, but the Weinberg-Petrosian bantering not?

Tebow to Bullpen, but the Weinberg-Petrosian bantering not?

Hmmm...hard to take seriously the reasons for putting the Tebow thread to the bullpen.

And I'm not saying I'm annoyed/insulted etc...just saying that I don't get it. These exchanges were far more personal.

And for the record, not to throw fuel on it, but Weinberg did start it, unprovoked...

No one believes that Petro or Weinberg is anything like a messiah, so the lack of offensive religious over-and-undertones keeps it less offensive, perhaps.

I think that any time religion or politics is involved their trigger finger is quick given the disasters of the past.

Perhaps I miissed something regarding personal stuff but am certain that it was mild compared to past difficulties(brought on in political/religious discussions).

I do not want to add fuel either but would question the unprovoked part.

religion just happens to be the hot button for some, while maybe i have a hot button for narcissists. IMO, point is it's arbitrary if that's the case. Offensive gestures are purely subjective and culturally/socially dependent.

The thread with 13 pages and some of its spill over is far from more civil than the tebow thread. In my subjective and cultural-social frame of reference of course

Anyways, I thought Petro was called out by the 'berg when someone remarked about his performance in BS and 'berg said he was irrelevant with a few paragraphs detailing why.

Like I said previously, good theater and all and heck filled a league up quickly...I'd say it was a TSN fabrication, just like Nicole! but what do i know...i was playing the 200x game with a different username at the time.

? The weinberg-petrosian posts of you said-i said?
certainly you jest. I made the mistake of reading the posts. You are smarter since it appears you didn't. That's a compliment really. I was having writer's block and got tired of struggling with a journal article.

Beacuse [i:38d71ab5e2]everything[/i:38d71ab5e2] on these boards is about ATG...

sorry but no ATG here:

Not sure why this particular thread even exists

Postby The Last Druid » Tue Jan 24, 2012 4:56 pm

Well, the thread [b:a4c6aa70fe]I[/b:a4c6aa70fe] started, [i:a4c6aa70fe]Weinberg vs. Petrosian, [/i:a4c6aa70fe]is approaching 350 posts in a handful of days. And the almost 4000 views suggest it is nothing if not interesting. Hey, a lot of people like to go to the circus. Here you can see it for free and there's no cruelty to animals. And I agree with Nev: it's all atg.

Tebow should have been on the bullpen from the beginning, before I offered my opinion. It never had anything to do with ATG.

BTW it all started over a year ago when Weinberg posted about how he was going to kick my butt in Polo '41 in last year's Barnstormers Finals. Before that, the guy wasn't even on my radar. But he somehow assumed that's where I always play. But then after his "has been/ irrelevant" quote from about two months ago, I decided to school him some in how to play this game. And even though I'm beating him in all five leagues that we are active together in with my Occupy Slimeberg Franchise, he still thinks he's invincible. I'm neither invincible nor infallible. But I am systematically demonstrating --on the playing field -- who, of the two of us, is better at this game.
