Posada Hall Of Fame?

Jorge has hung them up. :( Wondering what the community thinks of his chance of being a first ballot Hall of Famer? My vote would be 100% YES

Not a 1st ballot, borderline, but I think he gets in.

I don't think he quite gets in. 224th on the career WAR list is borderline at best, and 41st on the active list is pretty lame when you consider that many of the guys below him have many years left in their careers.

I think he gets in,not a first rounder but after a few years. 5 rings at a key position count for something.

Check bernie williams' vote totals.

Jeter and Mo in; doubt posada and bernie make it.

Seriously?

Batted .300 once, a fluke year that was like 60 pts above his career average.

The only category he EVER lead in was Grounded into Double Plays . . . twice. Flawed fielder.

Jeter and Mo, yes. But only the most avid Yankee fan would mention Posada as a HOF.

Bernie Williams got 9.6% of the vote this past year, his first time on the ballot.

To me, that run of the Yankees in the late 90s could have been just as successful with, say, Mike Lieberthal behind the plate and Johnny Damon in CF.

No Jeter and No Mo---no go for the Yankees........
