Pete throws a 4-hitter but it's not enough. Denny is PERFECT with 8 Ks.

Pitching definitely rules this playoffs, as I win 2-1, 2-1 in the other series.

When I was just starting to play this game (maybe 20 teams in) I read a thread that touted Pete in the playoffs and that if you got there, you had a huge advantage in the semi's with him starting twice as well as a top starter going twice in the finals. This made a lot of sense to me, and I have made it a point to draft (or try to draft) Pete on many teams since. It never seemed to work, and I got away from it a bit. I did draft him recently again and he just lost game 1 again, so out of curiosity, I checked his playoff record for me. He has gome 3-7 with 2 no-decisions (both ended up losses), so I have won 25% of his playoff starts
I know it's a pretty small sample...does anyone else have and idea of how he has done for your teams in the post-season?

Pete is Pete. He's the best pitcher in the game. But, I can tell you that I have had him lose both games 1 and 5 in the semis for me on at least one occasion. A victory in either one sends me to the finals. But hey, everybody can have an off day (or two).

I'm still tallying my stats, but I've got this from Pete so far:

6-2 (w-l)
79.1 ip
29 bb
40 so
2.50 era
1.15 whip

...and 0 (zero) complaints! :D

Historically, I've beaten Pete like a drum in the postseason.

Evidence?

Pete is beaten like a drum about as often as the old blind squirrel finds that nut. It can happen, and you can claim credit for doing it, but we all know better...
