sorry--going to bail based on how it's shaping up. A bit complex for my simple mind

Macnole, I don't think the final iteration will be all that complicated. I just kind of sounds that way while sketching things out. If you want to get back in later we'd love to have you.

If not, that's cool too.

I plan on trying to write up some comprehensive rules tonight so we can either get things rolling or watch it crash and burn.

Keep it simple and not so convoluted.........jimmiejoe seems to be quite knowledgable for a "rookie" with only five posts.

LJs suggestion appears to be a little too complicated, and I'm worried that it would make the off-season process take too long.

I prefer the original keeper/ stealer concept in the format initially proposed-- we want to strike the balance between stability (with the keeper concept), but enough flexibility that we're not replaying the same league each year.

I'm OK with the limited player pool, but it may defeat the purpose of keepers if we have some of the players rotating out of the league after a season.

Jimmiejoe is actually my cousin. He's played other baseball sim games before but not strat online. I can't remember which ones. I kind of dragged him over here by all but insisting over Chistmas.

He lives in China too. Seriously.

BTW, congrats OakAth! I hope everything is going well.

When the time comes try to get him to throw with his left hand.

The overriding sentiment seems to be to keep things as simple as possible. That is what I prefer as well, so that is what I'll try to do.
