Yankee Stadium 56 Question

Yankee Stadium 56 Question

Postby ShakeyBoomer » Wed Feb 01, 2012 9:39 am

Home park is Yankee Stadium 56. 140m league. Facing 35.5% LH starters league-wide and the vast majority of them are hard L's. There are 5 other parks in the league which are either LH HR parks or parks like Fenway 67.

Question is as follows: How many RH bats would you be willing to have in your lineup vs. LH SP's given the above?

It depends on your LH bats. If you have Charleston, Turkey, Musial and other even LHs, then you can go with two. If not, then you need to be careful.

It also has to do with the kind and position of RH bats, I prefer high OBP RHers, others may want players with a lot of natural HRs vs LHs like Rogan or Bagwell to keep HAL honest vs your LH team.

Not more than three. Probably more like two. Depends on if I have a lefty who handles lefties well (the aforementioned Oscar, Turkey and Stan as examples). Agree, you could go high OBP RH or high HR power.

In fact, not sure what I add here beyond Not more than three, probably two.

Here is the link to the team. Its a frenzy league and I had a brutally bad AD. I didn't get any of my top picks (Arky, Dickey, T. Williams). I am worried this team will not hit RH's well enough so I am looking to swap out Chino Smith for a better hitter vs RH's. As of now, I already have 4 RH's in my lineup vs LH pitching so platooning Chino would give me 5. Too many - thoughts please?

Cash doesn't really need a platoon. He always lands on his feet.

Dropping Galaragga would allow you to upgrade the pen, which might be a good idea.

Thanks PKB I made the change you suggested. Do you agree I need to be worried vs RH pitching?

I'm not the best person to ask. But consider that league wide, it's 65% RH pitching.

Division is more important than league wide, as you'll play a lot more in division, so you might look at what the pitchers in the division are rather than league.
