[quote:e8f5c77f6b="alvarndc"][quote:e8f5c77f6b="apolivka"]On the sac fly, there is a "rare play" on the chart where the outfielder makes a spectacular catch, but bashes into the wall and all runners advance two bases. Josh ain't no Cool Papa Bell. :)[/quote:e8f5c77f6b]
Thanks for explaining that. Gotta love Strat. Would be super cool to have that narration on the replay.[/quote:e8f5c77f6b]
I did it once many years ago.
Wet field, I'm on 2nd. Pop up down the LF line. SS makes a nice over the shoulder catch. I'm off, as the 3rd basemen went down the line, and I figure all I have to do is beat the pitcher to third. SS plants his feet and all he does is slide on his....end...3b coach is waving me around, so I go for it. Throw is a bit up the 1b line, I slide on the 3b side, safe. I'm told that the fielder tried to get up and slipped again before he regained his footing, and made a flatfooted throw without much on it. Nothing he did warranted an error
I'm sure we've all been involved in plays that would look good in a box score.
