haha, nice job on the internet research to get manager photos, good sleuthing.

How about a favorite MLB team column?

It looks like we have one week to start a 2002 season, or we will not be able to until the spring some time.

Interesting...all sounds like a good thing long-term, and it certainly sounds like a sabbatical for the Still Crazy teams. I know me and my team could use the time off after the big fat egg we laid.

Joe is right that Bernie's latest post is huge news. Here's the relevant excerpt for this league:

"[b:852e3fa178]- To prepare for the switchover, the following older games will be CLOSED for NEW TEAM REGISTRATION on Friday, February 10 at 10pm ET: 1969, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and FantaSim.[/b:852e3fa178]

"Existing full leagues in those games with an Opening Day of Monday, February 13 or earlier will play through to completion on the existing site, so it's "last call" for any new teams/leagues - if you fill up any leagues by Friday night, you can play them out starting the following Monday. All teams not in a full league by then will be credited back to you. Shutting down new registration for these games temporarily is necessary to make our switch over to the new site as smooth as possible, as well as to prepare each of those games for eventual retooling, rebooting, and relaunching (with updated player salaries and all of the new features) on the new site. I'll keep you all posted as soon as we have a better idea as to when those games will be relaunched."

[b:852e3fa178]In other words, if we do a rush drop/draft/load in the next 7 days, then we're good to go. Otherwise, the league will take a siesta until some (unknown) later date.[/b:852e3fa178]

If we choose not to rush, then we can have a leisurely drop & draft process and be ready whenever the 2002 game becomes available again.

What do you all think?
