injury replacements

I can't seem to get it to work properly. Youk should be replacing Morneau who is injured but he is not. What am I doing wrong?

A DH will not replace an injured player in the same game but will (or is supposed to) the next game if he is listed as the backup at that position. If this isn't working properly for you then I would send this example to TSN at stratomatic@sportingnews.com and see what they have to say.

My lineup backups have always worked correct for me.

Some how Morgan Nyger was always coming in as my PH and I just gave up and took the bullet. I could never figure out the platoon thingy either.
I just go with whatever HAL thinks is best for me.

Definitely isn't working properly- is it because youk is scheduled to start at DH?

I think it might be. I would specify a backup for Youk at DH and see if then Youk would replace Morneau and Youk's backup would replace him at DH.

it worked. Somehow not having a sub for DH made the computer not replace Morneau at 1B with Youk....

DH Backing up a position

Postby DrGPadgett » Wed Feb 08, 2012 8:40 pm

I saw this happen to an opposing team. If the DH is a backup at another position, Hal skips him and goes to #3.

In baseball rules, if the DH takes a position in the field, the DH is forfeited for the rest of the game...pitchers then must bat for themselves. My guess is that the programmers disallowed a starting DH picking up a glove, for this reason.

Gene!
