If I showed you some of the offers I've given that were accepted and some that were declined you'd see I have no problem giving up quite a lot to get certain trades done.

Here's an offer that was declined.

You give up:
[b:b769d93464]Helton, Todd[/b:b769d93464] (2000) ($10,130,000)
[b:b769d93464]Boggs, Wade[/b:b769d93464] (1987) ($9,600,000)
[b:b769d93464]Carter, Gary[/b:b769d93464] (1980) ($6,630,000)
[b:b769d93464]Henke, Tom[/b:b769d93464] (1986) ($4,000,000)
[b:b769d93464]Morgan, Joe[/b:b769d93464] (1975) ($10,260,000)
[b:b769d93464]Thompson, Sam[/b:b769d93464] (1889) ($2,840,000)

Other team gives up:
Nelson, Jeff (1997) ($2,320,000)
Clark, Jack (1987) ($9,180,000)
Crosetti, Frankie (1939) ($2,390,000)
Downing, Brian (1979) ($4,390,000)
Myer, Buddy (1935) ($6,320,000)
[b:b769d93464]Ruth, Babe[/b:b769d93464] (1921) ($15,100,000)
Stanky, Eddie (1950) ($6,080,000)

Some would make a case for J. Clark being useful in 200m (although I just cut him on another team) But basically it was [b:b769d93464]Six[/b:b769d93464] damn good players for Ruth.....Now I have no problem with the decline...but this does show I'll send some good offers out there.

I probably would have accepted!

:D

I usually get stuff like Richie Ashburn or Earle Coombs for Rickey or Elmer Flick (in no DH leagues). Stuff that makes no sense.

[quote:fbc82c42f9="Valen"]Thing is the defense is not good enough to play in field. [/quote:fbc82c42f9]

I played him in LF (had Duffy in CF) on a small ball team. I have no idea how many runs scored due to his noodle arm but won 102 games. I'm guessing his 2 defensive rating in LF caught enough fly balls to make up for any aggressive baserunners taking home on him. I can't imagine there were a lot of those types of runs scored as most of my pitchers' cards had very few fly lf (B) or fly lf (B?) spots on them.

Does anybody have a sense of the value of outfield arms? How does the value of an outfield 1(+3) compare with a 2(0) or 3(0)?
