David, I still can't change the frenzy time. Gotta go to work now, so go ahead and get into my account and change it whenever Bernie fixes it. Also, Frank Chance, Chick Stahl & Sam Thompson are not on my draft list. I'll have to pick them up tomorrow when I get a chance.

Thanks!

I had a sneaking hunch you were'nt going to be able to! I have post on the main message boards to Bernie and have also sent a letter via the "Help" section to try and get the time changed. I think it will be too difficult to try and get everyone to switch leagues so this is our next best option. No need checking in every 10 minutes or whatever but we should still plan on doing the frenzy tonight IF they got the word and were able to change the time. For those that missed Riv's post in the old league mail as to what happened to him last night, this is it. I'm sure everyone can understand his position after reading this.

[quote:f60ee2fef3="deepdrive"]There is no option to switch leagues, once the league fills. Go to the league page. There's no option that I can see. :?[/quote:f60ee2fef3]

I think that we all are locked into this league. Only Underdog A K A Bernie can save us. Oh where art thou underdog ?

Ok....I will check back in shortly. My wife has been cut loose in the Greektown Casino/Hotel, Downtown Detroit for a night out with a bunch of nurses! They all decided they really needed it and one of them suggested they wanted a night like in the movie "The Hangover." This worked out great for me cuz I just dropped a boatload on some old SOM CD-Rom version football teams! Express-mail delivery of course! I've been chomping at the bit to go through these seasons and check the cards out. Now I have all night!

Not sure you heard what that pack of nurses wanted to do ... you sure it wasn't The Hangar Club?

Remember ... if you have all night ... then so do they ...

And you used EXPRESS MAIL? Oh, if Memphis only knew ...

Also fired off a regular eMail to Sir Bernard (since it's the Weekend) in case he's somewhere where he'll perhaps see it ahead of the queries to him by Kev and Dave through the channels that he insists on ... CONTACT US in the Help Menu.

See you guys in 5.5 hrs. TONIGHT at 10 PM ET!!

[quote:58d4fc0344]EXPRESS MAIL?[/quote:58d4fc0344] Bad choice of words. It's the E-MAIL d/l strat offers instead of sending the codes directly through the regular post now. You pay your money...you get an email with the activation code...and then just download the teams from any older season.

(I can see NO CHANGE in our league status yet! RATS!)

Ric...I grew up in a baseball family. I love the game. But I have to admit, Football is still the best sportI ever actually played! The strat baseball game, I mean the older version with the dice, is a fun game, but the football dice version was outstanding! My friend that I played the leagues with had all kinds of older seasons. He would pull them all out, and then he andd his brother and I would each draft 4 whole teams from a past season. Then, he would take about 12 teams from different years that we would use to draft from. We each got 6 picks to try and "improve" the existing team. The CD-Rom version has a draft function where you can draft whole teams from past seasons, even different years, or you can take a bunch of teams and dump all their players into a free agency and draft from scratch. You have to keep a teams basic defensive cards though. I have yet to play any netplay games with anybody but I'm chomping at the bit to do so. The computer AI in the latest version is very challanging! It even has a function where you can "input" your own dice rolls rather than have the computer do it for you! It's a GREAT game!

If you go to the Strat-O-Matic homepage and pull up the football game, you can see the past seasons. It starts with 1957, but doesn't include every year, but most of them up to the present. Some of the cards are extremely cool. Jim Brown from 1959, Mercury Morris in 1970 and '72. Tom Brady's 2010 passing card is unbelievable. The Vikings defensive cards from the 1970 season are rated "SUPREME" against the pass. I've never seen anything above excellent before!
