According to espn radio here in Dallas the improper chain of custody was this:

The person taking the sample thought it was too late in evening to ship the get the sample shipped off before the shipping company closed. So he took it home and put it in his fridge.

Insert joke here but be polite.

Dad watching tv sends his toddler to get a beer from the fridge. Later that night his wife is looking in fridge and seeing 6 cans of Miller asks "I thought you only bought one 6-pack".

While I don't love that the Hebrew Hammer got off on a technicality, I really don't love that MLB's testing is supposed to be confidential until the appeal is exhausted. MLB and ESPN have botched their protocol, as no one should even have known that Braun was up for suspension until they could make the suspension stick. Now, we're all left thinking MLB is incompetent and Braun is dirty-ish. The release from MLB directly after was really gross, as it basically says that MLB doesn't agree with the procedure that MLB put in place.

*sigh* A pox on the house of everyone involved.

The person taking the sample thought it was too late in evening to ship the get the sample shipped off before the shipping company closed. So he took it home and put it in his fridge, right next to the heads of the two hookers he'd killed the week before.

so much for baseball having a handle on this problem... talented players ... needing the boost..... must be too much ego involved for this sort of thing to stop.. really sad.

I am glad we are all in agreement on the issues of ethics and morals.

Now, let's consider the issue of inflated simulated statistics.
