I'm ready to steal.
Let me catch up on everything in one post:
Jon - It's been great having you in the league. You're a good one. You'll be missed.
Eric - Thank you so much for stepping up and taking over the league. I really appreciate it. I know some of you had hoped that I would stay on as commish and just have someone help me in the interim, but let me say how happy I am with Eric and his willingness to take over completely. The day I logged in to announce my keepers was the day I caught up on the last three weeks of the season (including playoffs). This league is better for having Eric in charge. Thanks again. On, btw, the commish never wins the title. At least, that's my latest excuse for no SBDL rings in my possession. :shock:
Of course, I see Eric has already relaxed the rule of only one Bill allowed (me). As long as the rule about having as many Ricks as possible reamins intact. :P
Bill - Welcome aboard. Good to have you here. Being a new manager in the SBDL is often good karma. Munich_Man lost the final in his first season. Modmark won the title in his first year. JoeOC won his division his first year. BobBoone, who you are replacing, won the title in his first season. Good luck!
Rick (hackra) - Congratulations on the SBDL title!! Watching Game 7 with that GameCast feature (or whatever it's called) made it SO exciting. I would have to go back to check, but I think this was the first Finals Game 7 in extra frames.
Mark - Oscar Stanage?!! He provideth hope, and then giveth the hope away. Of course, Joe Torre "your heart open" and Eddie Stinky opened that door for Stanage, huh... One of these days, you and I will play F2F again, too.
Rick (Munich) - You weasel!!! Oh, wait, you haven't done anything... yet... this year... Prost!
And I will forever be losing to Tom, Larry and Joe. Tom and Larry have been here almost as long as I have. I used to blame them for my being always title-less here. And I have had seasons where I've been 1-11 oe 0-12 against Joe. I finally play well against him and I only got three series last season (7-2). Figures.
OK... back to gearing up for some thievin'
