While picking in the later rounds is clearly a disadvantage in SOM, you need to be mindful of how fast an early position selection can make that statement less true.

Smokey's time is up Jeep can pick anytime.

Guys, I'll be unavailable from 5:00pm EST ti; about 10:30pm, Maybe earlier, I'll try to set proxies, but Not sure I can cover 2 picks cause I'm right in the middle.

I'd MUCH rather be at one of the ends.

had proxies for cabrera and abreu, both got chewed up guess i was dreaming.
i have picked. I tried desperately to stay awake til my pick but could not make it. i am sorry. you guys know from my past drafts i slave over these things.

I would much rather pick 12 and 13 than 1 and 24. I prefer them both to any pick position in the middle.

FYI I have been mindful of Giles or Ellis since the first pick I made. I actually traded down hoping to get JETER and GILES or at worst PAPI and Giles. I took Lee thinking I might be able to get at Castillo later at pick 47 or 50 boy was I Wrong. I di dnot see Big's post about Kenndedybut i did see his PICK of castillo.

Niners, if it makes you feel any better, we were planning on taking on the the 2bs that went as soon as we took Ortiz. Didn't actually even read the comments until just now!

[quote:bff2be6ed7="bigmahon"]I agree that the salaries appear designed to increase our use of the higher caps. [/quote:bff2be6ed7]

yeah, Riggo set them so that you could actually run up against the cap
in the higher cap leagues, but I think it's still possible to put together
decent $80 mil teams, they're just more realistic. You guys are wimps
for not wanting to try it this time around. ;)
