This team is really offensive! Final tweaks made.

Thanks! That makes me feel better. With the park makeup, I think I can get .300/.400+ out of him, and Wells should just crush it.

One more that was a champ in the barnstormers. By the way, I love me some Willie Wells! http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/atg2/team/team_other.html?user_id=110344

If I can get the same numbers out of Wells, Beckwith, Gibson and Dimaggio that I had with this team (and this current league has a far more favorable park makeup)--

I'll be happy...

what an offensive team.

Equally offensive is the Irish stout.

i went in a completely different direction. Given the pitching makeup (only 7 LHP, 1 in my division) I dumped Bagwell and went with Suttles. I love Bags, and he completely rocks, but Suttles should rake equally as well in this league.

I now have Sandberg at 2B. That gives me one less injury risk, and solid defense. I will take a hit on BA and OBP, though, but with the predominance of RHP in the league and righty/slugger parks, I think he'll do fine.

I don't know if the team is potent enough to challenge my RS record, but it would be nice to have all Sechs Maniacs on the leaderboard. :)

I just want a winning record and playoff spot. :D

You're going soft, Rick - way too much pitching on this squad. Based on the experinece of my last attempt to bash my way past your records, I might prefer Morgan at 2b if available despite all the RH parks - that would give you tons of OBP with Morgan / Cobb in front Ruth / Beckwith / Gibson / Wells.

Morgan was my consolation for missing out on Hornsby, but I dumped him, given the park makeup and he's no longer available. With Wells at SS, I may go back to the cheap Collins for some more OBP, despite the injury risk. But I have tons of OBP (which is the key component for scoring runs) except for Sandberg, but even he might push .400 given the pitching/park makeup in this league.

The cheaper Collins would allow me to splurge even more on pitching!

I like that you are using a lot of Nel. players. I just got a book out of the library called, The Encyclopedia of Negro League Baseball.

Good luck with your offensive team!

OK, sticking with Sandberg, but can wait and see how he does. I can still switch to Colling at the 90% drop penalty.

Let's see what happens.
