[quote:d2fe46af9f="Munich_Man"]Nex time you're in Munich, let me know for sure. I'll do the same if I'm up Heidleberg way.

I lived there for 6 months quite a while ago.[/quote:d2fe46af9f]

Sounds good--will do! I usually run the Munich Marathon in the fall and the heidelberg in the spring. But I may be moving this summer...will see.

Are a dunkel, weizen, or pils kind of guy?

I was stationed at Ramstein AB back in the late 70's. Not next to Kaiserslautern. BBK was brewed in town, and was better than any mass produced American beer. Loved the castles, Rhine, Oktoberfest, the wine, Oktoberfest

Applied for a job once and they asked if I had a Police Record. I said no, but I had Sting's solo CD. I didn't get the job.

[quote:1f88726db1="agabriel"]That may be, but the man has done a Christmas album. He's a sellout.[/quote:1f88726db1]

AGabe-
Sting did a bunch of movie singles long before the x-mas album.
Some of which are just awesome (check out the tune 'until...')
and some are just cheesy (his version of someone to watch over me).
Not to mention the album of Renaissance music he did-
my point being that I dont think hes a sell-out- more that he just does a LOT of different kinds of things. 8-)

I like Sting with the Police. They were sellouts. And I like some of Sting's early solo stuff. He was a sellout then too.

Any commercial artist is a sellout. They want to sell themselves.

But once you make an entire Christmas album, no matter how avant garde, you're [i:b8e017f690]really[/i:b8e017f690] a sellout.

great movie, especilly liked Robert Shaw, with Newman calling him "Linneman," and Lonnigan always saying, "Ya folla, fella?"
