Do we need to drop an 11th if we promote a minor leaguer?

The max roster size before the draft is 20, so if you start out with 30 then yeah you will have to cut 11 if a prospect is added to your roster.

But we aren't required to promote prospects who are carded right now, right?

Thats the way I understand it you don't have to promote someone if you don't want to.

Since our first draft was last year I don't think any prospects will have been carded for more than one year so no one should have to promote this year, but next year that might change.
