Which team do you think is better

Here are a couple of teams in one of my leagues. Both are 55-41 at this point of the season. Not too shabby, you say? Read on!

Team #1 - playing in Braves Field '20.

On another thread I have posted the dangers of playing in neutral ballparks. If you can believe it, these teams are (at 55-41!) tied for 3rd/4th in their division.

My entry in this horse race is playing in League Park '34. It's currently 57-39:

Prefer the two teams with the better records but it would be child's play to craft a 6-7 man starting rotation that would shut those suckers down.

This staff would throw Pfeister, Hall and Bennett against rburgh's team and Kison, Sutton and either Hendrix or Atley against the Wrigley team. With the 7 man staff I can pretty much ensure that Kison and Bennett don't ever pitch against teams they match poorly. And unlike some of the 40M+ staffs in rburgh's division, this staff is cost effective.

The point of this post, Petro, was that I think it is incredible that four teams from the same division can be that dominant. The four of us are 165-99 outside our division, for a .625 winning percentage. You could probably tweak one, or maybe two or three, teams to nail us, but I doubt you could find enough cheap, lopsided pitchers so that a whole league could get both of us.

Actually, the Pythagorean records suggest that Vinnie has the best team. We'll see. It's a really interesting race. I have 20 teams running, and this is the one I am most interested in.

But I agree with you, there is no such thing as an invincible team, or an unwinnable division.

Team 1 should not have a winning record as its scored less that they've allowed. I like that team the least.
