Herr

Have Herr's statiscally worst card. Although his OBP seems to be adequate, but there's a ton of negative clutch on the card. Do I hang on or drop? (Should note my team is doing well, and offense is not a problem. I can bat Herr last without a problem.)

(Not much available in terms of adequate defense/decent offense in the same price range...Hubbard, Gantner, Dauer...the usual suspects. Ray's available, but I don't want the 3.)

Thought about Gantner, but out of Gantner's 5 years, I believe I'd only come out ahead in two years, push one year, and come out worse in two years.

If you can afford to punt offensively at 2B why not go ahead and drop Herr for Flynn or Lind and get a 1 at 2B?

You already paid for Herr, warts and all. If he's not hurting you with the bat, his glove is likely helping you. Why not stick with him.

I did that with Frank White on a recent championship team. He batted .234, with an OBP of .258, but he only made 12 errors all season. He also played 162 games, hit 32 HR and had 89 RBI. I was ready to drop him at game 39, but decided there wasn't much else out there to grab, so I stuck with him.

good luck,

If you are playing in a HR park and the team is going well... I would never drop White. He usually comes around for anywhere from 20 to 45 HRs in one of the HR parks.

... but every time I have drafted Herr I have dropped him... I must never have gotten one of his good cards...
