I was at the 1987 (after the 1986 season) Cleveland Browns New York Jets double overtime playoff game, the one where Bernie Kosar broke the record (that he still holds to this day) for most passing yards in ANY post season game. What a comeback!

Here is a fun peice of trivia for Browns and NFL fans:

Who is the ONLY quarterback in the history of the NFL to throw touchdown passes in BOTH AFC and NFC Championship games?[/quote:571da490a9]

Not the house for RG3

I'm happy the Browns didn't pull the trigger on that one ... If they can land the A@M QB Tannehill and that back from Alabama somewhere somehow in the first 3 rounds , which i believe is a total of 4 picks consider it a good draft on the offensive side of the ball . I believe Browns fans will end up with a collective sigh of relief after all is said and done in this draft and free agency ... so long and adieu to all the RG3 hype.

Since the QB trivia is on a Browns thread, I suppose Kosar threw a TD in the NFC championship game when he was bopping around the league as a veteran backup.

But Craig Morton definitely did it for the Cowboys and Broncos.

I'm sorry for the Jets game.

As a Jets fan, we've been to the AFC title game three times in my lifetime, and no superbowls. We've had a 1-15 season. We've had one coach ever with a record over .500 in his tenure with the team (Bill Parcells).

Oh, and we just extended Mark Sanchez. And hired Tony Sparano to run the offense.

You will get no pity from me. It might be time to jump ship to my in-laws team... with two extra first round picks in the next three years...

While you absolutely need a legit top flight QB in this league, I'm afraid that the Browns best route now just might be to build the team up in all other areas so that when they do find their QB they can plug him in as the final piece.

The Good: St. Louis Rams (wow, what a haul)

The Not SO Bad: Cleveland Browns (they are keeping those picks, at least)

The Ugly: Washington Redskins (see Rams comment above)

That's fair

But it won't stop me from feeling sorry for myself.

BTW, I survived.

This.

We had more bullets in our gun than any other franchise. We were afraid to pull the trigger. End of story.

Would we have had to "overpay" according to other league "experts"? Probably. But if we pushed our chips in and RG3 busted, we'd be in no worse position than we've been for the better part of 2 decades.

You're sorry for the Jets game? Not following. Are you apologizing for Gastineau's despicable hit on Bernie, that ultimately contributed to our comeback or are you saying you and the Jets are sorry for even being in that game, b/c they really had no business showing up after the collapsing act they pulled that season.
