backup catcher trade?

Postby padrenurgle1 » Fri Mar 16, 2012 1:43 pm

San Francisco needs a BAL-R backup catcher in exchange for Eli Whiteside ($1.08m, 4L). Looking for a BAL-R catcher under $2m in exchange.

the Pirates have no one as an extra, only draft picks.

I'd entertain the thought of trading a draft pick or 2 away for the right players that fit my holes.

I'm open to trades but I want to see how the first 2-3 rounds of the supplemental draft pan out and go from there. Maybe others are thinking that way too.

I think you have the right idea of saying who is available/what you are looking for since your roster is set. Maybe it would help to spark trade interest if other non-supplemental draft teams did the same.

Draft Time Limit

Postby Gumby3640 » Fri Mar 16, 2012 7:12 pm

I believe last year's player draft had a 3 hour time limit for each manager to make a pick - with 8 hours allocated overnight.

Still waiting for Paul_Long to make his pick - it has been more than 3 hours. Need to know if I should wait or proceed.

Ruling By The Commish?

Postby The Godfather » Fri Mar 16, 2012 9:22 pm

Yeah, I think it was 3 hours per pick although it may have been more lenient during the weekends. Quite a bit of time has passed since the last pick. Ruling by the commish?

sorry guys at a track meet all day. I coach track in spring. I sent mbrake (commish) a note about it. I was still 8 picks away when I left this morning so too far to come up with a proxy list IMO. shouldn't happen again (I'm on spring break starting now!!!)

I'll pick in the next few mins.

LOL, thought you said you were at the track all day until I reread it. I had a flashback to Rodney Dangerfield and Joe Pesci in Easy Money!
