Pick # 4 in the FA draft.

I will get:

KD last round FA pick
Micheal Pineda
Lorenzo Cain

As I understand it to work, when you trade your last free agent pick to someone that means you only draft 39 players in the regular rounds of the free agent draft.

THEN you get a supplemental pick to bring you to 40.

Is that how it runs in HCKL, USKL, etc?

Makes sense. Except you gained an extra first rounder. So if you have all picks you will be full up by the round before your last pick.. right?

Right, so my "last pick" now moves up to the previous round, which goes to you.

Then I get a supplemental pick at the end of the draft, after everyone else has finished picking, to fill my empty roster slot.

I was thinking I got your last pick at the time of the trade. So you would be full before you got to.use it. But I see your point. I dunno.

I've got 28 players - checking my draft picks I'd be at 40 once I made my 11th round pick, which would be the case whether I made the deal with you or not.

So instead of making that pick I give it to you and then go supplemental after the draft to get that last guy.

We might be talking about the same thing

KD - think you're confusing things buy interjecting the supplemental pick idea. There is no need for a supp pick because this is an even-up trade. Instead of saying "KD's last round FA pick" just specify the pick - your 11th rounder.

Forget about the 40-man guys for a sec - if you & Smokey are swapping a 4th rounder for an 11th rounder, why would you need a supp pick?
