As I said previously, this is the last new cards batch for about 2 months, due to the fact that we're hitting crunch time for the site rebuild/migration to Strat-O-Matic.com. I tossed in an extra handful of cards as a bonus this time.

Note that this time around I just completely ignored all cards from FantaSim, to make things simpler. There were enough popular requests from the other, more recent sets that I could poach anyway.

I went hitter-heavy for this batch since it's become quite obvious that new pitcher cards don't excite you guys nearly as much as new hitter cards do (*cough* 90%+ of your requests are for hitters *cough*). :) For the pitchers I targeted some killer closers because ATG needs some more pure relievers in the mix.

There's a note in the rightmost column marking each of the new cards so you can easily find them.

Effective immediately these cards are available for you to put on your draft lists if you are joining or creating a league that hasn't filled yet. If you've already finished your draft list and joined a league, you may pull out and adjust your list to include any of the new cards if you want, as long as the league hasn't closed yet.

The new cards will not be made available to leagues that have already drafted or whose seasons have started. I had intended to add them to such leagues manually on a case-by-case basis, but consensus opinions from the managers in these leagues would be too hard to collect, and I've run into some unexpected obstacles in this whole process.

Really like the Wes Parker card addition. Nice small ball first baseman. Great D, speed, positive clutch, on base, avg. and double power. Plus, I have a soft spot for the guy, as my first serious little league glove was a Wes Parker model. :)

There are several things to like about that Wes Parker card in small ball.

Switch-hitter
Great defense
No injury
Extra-base power
Above average speed
Positive clutch on 5 dice rolls

At 5.5 million I think it's a great value at $100M and below, especially $60M.

Sadly, no new 5-man rotation starters. But Smith, Papelbon and Nathan have zero BP singles.

It's nice to see Arthur Rhodes card come down in price. Wasn't the 2001 Rhodes part of TSN SOM ATG 1? . I remember the card was then priced at something like 9.06M.

Rhodes had a very good season in 2002 as well.

I really like ATG6 new card batch #7. Lots of usable, realistic, cards to support a variety of styles of play at all cap levels. Plus, they enhance the post WWII set and begin to fill the need for reasonably priced lefty hitting corner OFers with some pop who can occasionally catch the ball with the addition of Oglivie. Kudos to Bernie.

I'm a little curious as to why Gary Nolan '71 was selected instead of '72, although the '71 card is a fine addition to the set.

Also, Ted Williams played most of his career post WWII, yet we have no Williams' card for that era, which is a glaring omission. Any chance on getting a post WWII card for the Splendid Splinter? 1949 would be ideal, as Teddy Ballgame hit a career high 43 HRs, was MVP for the last time and had 730 PA, making him "bullet proof" in the online game for the last time. All of Ted's subsequent seasons would be subject to a 15 game injury, except 1951. Also, Williams would likely remain a 3(0) in 1949, but in most of his later seasons he was a 4 in the field, in addition to being a high injury risk. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a super advanced version of the 1949 season.

How about Teddy '57, his last hurrah. 547 PA, 38 HR, OPS of 233. Great head-scratcher card - 15 game injury risk, 4 in the field, but oh, my, can he hit.
