Reelin' in the Years League

For the initial prospect draft :

Because it's [b:72c115ea06]a new rule (added)[/b:72c115ea06], I propose we don't advantage or disadvantage anyone in particular. I think that this is too much arbitrary.

For the initial draft only, I propose a random way to attribute the orders and make it a snake style draft or x rounds (so, the person who gets the last pick would have another advantage).

BUT, for all subsequent prospect drafts, the worst record would always pick first non serpentine...

After all, there's already the free agents drat in place that give a chance to the worst records. I think that when we add a new rule (this important), we should stay neutral in the way we bring it aboard.

tcochrane should collect the proposed ideas and have the league vote on them.

After tossing 11-1/3 scoreless postseason innings, Santana broke his arm tonight in game 7. We won the game and go to the finals, but without our cleanup hitter and without our #2 starter.

Unleashed with mnimums

Postby tcochran » Sat Mar 24, 2012 9:09 am

The more I think about the idea of using [b:91e88d34fb]all[/b:91e88d34fb] cards -- but with minimums for [b:91e88d34fb]all[/b:91e88d34fb] cards -- the better I like it.

For example, if 100 AB were the minimum for hitters, then the following unleashed guys in the 2011 card set would be eligible to be used:
De Aza
Perez
Blanco

At a salary of $3.38, Snyder would be the most significant standard set player who would not be eligible to be used.

Likewise, for starting pitchers, if there were a 100 IP minimum, then no unleashed pitchers would be added to the draft and only Josh Johnson would be excluded.

Those all seem like reasonable limits to me.
