Athletics posted on the drop thread that Desmond was acquired from the NewRays last season & immediately promoted to the active 40 man roster. Zambrano was a NewRays cut acquired in the between seasons draft.

Guys,

We allow managers to change stadiums every 3 years, or when new managers join. That means that only RickP and John Then are not allowed to change stadiums. If anyone else would like to change, it's a first come, first served basis, and let's set a deadline for changes of the end of the FA draft.

Are we able to draft more than 3 prospects at the Prospect Draft?

The rules state each team can draft 3 prospects.

Looking over past prospect drafts provided the answer. In the past managers were allowed to make more than 3 prospect selections due to trades of prospect draft picks.

The rules on page 1 need to reflect this.

Therefore I have the following Prospect Draft Picks:

* I'll need a ruling on this. I've traded my last two picks to Peter, since I won't need them. I know drops were supposed to be finalized at midnight. If we are going to hold to this deadline, then I'll have 27 players and thus not have picks 9 and 10, and he'll get my 7 and 8 picks. Or, I will make two more drops from my roster and keep the two picks.

I'm ok with it either way, especially since I'm the one that held up our trade past the deadline

I'm going to sit back and watch Albert hit 75 homers this year, and wonder what the heck I just did

Your cut list has Braden listed twice. Looks like you meant to cut Matt Capps since you did not list him on your roster.

Sorry to be a pain but your Prospect list on the NewSKL Official Roster has J. Mejia on your team, but I do not see him being drafted by anyone during the 2011 Prospect Draft?

Confirmed. We made our drops by the deadline. You shouldn't have to cut again. If there's an issue, we can repost later.

There are only 3 rounds in the prospect draft, but you can acquire additional picks through trade. The only limits on prospects are that you can never have more than 10 on your team at a time, and you'll have to make more promotions 2 years from now.

The rosters locked at the deadline, but I'm going to allow modifications to the drops until Sunday at midnight ET, especially since Steve hasn't posted his. If you'd like to modify your drops, please email or PM me, as I will start on editing the rosters for the draft soon, and I will go by what's in the thread as of right now.

As far as trades go, since the rosters have locked, all trades will take place in a post cut environment. In the case that's provided, no more drops are necessary, and everyone has at least 10 draft picks, so the trade is valid.

It looks like Mejia was drafted in the 2010 prospect draft and will need to be promoted or released. Good catch. I appreciate the assistance.
