Reelin' in the Years League

There's not been much discussion on the number of seasons to play with each card set, so let me explain why I proposed one. Maybe some of you will edit your vote. :D

All managers in the RITY league are also in the Crazy league. If we are in the habit of playing two seasons each, after the retro period ends, then 4 league playing sessions will be tied up in these 2 leagues each year.

With the Crazy league going on hiatus for a while, until Bernie gets the new site done (or later), I'd like to see us put that league on hold and start a 3rd league with the currently available 2007 season.

In addition, Bernie said it was possible that other, older seasons might become available at some point, too. Rather than repeat seasons with one league or another, I'd prefer to see us have 3 or 4 (or more) leagues going, at one season per card set each.

padrenurgle - Yes. 3 players per team. I think it's VERY IMPORTANT to limit the number of prospects we can keep, otherwise the annual free agent draft will suck. There will never be any exciting new players in the standard draft if we have 120 minor leaguers locked up. Very few per team, 3 or 4. Draft order random and snaking. Minor league players may be kept forever or until carded for the first time. Established players who don't get carded one year are not eligible as "prospects."

I like you guys but I won't be a part of another keeper league. I'M open to the ''2 times a year'' format for this one.

Even though it led my team to historic pitching numbers and the World Series, I'm going to have to abandon Petco Park...my 2010 staff and hitters are just not made for it.
