I will say that the 1st season in a keeper league is always the hardest to draft for because you dont know who is going to draft how:play for this season, position scarcity,go for best talent, youngest talent or take best available player you can get at each position?? Always find yourself kicking yourself for not taking [b:3b38f784a5]THAT[/b:3b38f784a5] player a round before. It is very frustrating thats why we love the keepers [/quote:3b38f784a5]

Silly nythawk, you do all of that at once of course. You take the best, youngest card for this year at the scarcest position with the most long term upside...at least that's what I do  :P :D

[quote:91f9eb22c0="bigmahon"]Can't complain about getting 'El Hombre' at #21. Pretty sure his OPS will be a bit better than .907 this season. 8-)[/quote:91f9eb22c0]

Big I would have taken him too if I were you

Uhm...

apparently.

Considering I have other things I'd like to do this afternoon, it's a little unnerving...

I hope it's not habitual.

NO KIDDING!! He was actually my next pick. I didn't think he would be snatched up so quickly in a "keeper" league. However, he does look good this spring training...so perhaps he is the real deal long term.

I could not resist. I checked out his spring stats before I made the pick. He is slugging over .500

I've actaully been suprised he hasn't been snatched up in other keepers that allow uncarded players, he seems a better bet then Salvador Perez IMHO
