[quote:523b7c0d1e="ehlekev"][quote:523b7c0d1e="Ninersphan"]Hmm, I usually don't take pitchers to early either, but I do like to have at least one STUD guy to build my staff around, and those types were flying off the board, and i knoew there was no way they'd last til my next picks. We'll see if it comes back to bite me.[/quote:523b7c0d1e]

Well that kind of sucks. I have Kershaw and Cliff Lee early. Apparently the resident keeper experts are not too keen on that strategy. I have a bad feeling...........

Kev, I've seen it work either way, just a personal preference thing....

Okay,

I've got a little bit going on myself tonight from 6-7:30ish, but I should be around after that.

Short term it works fine but the problem is will they keep up their numbers on a yearly basis?? With Kershaw I would say yes,Lee Im not as excited about.Top flight hitters put up more consistent numbers on a yearly basis(at least thats how I factor it)And then there are all the pitchers that have Tommy John surgery and miss an entire season....Course thats how I look at it.Hell I have Strasburg in a few keeper leagues and have got him sitting on the sidelines this year so it is just a personal preference.

Alright, if we're gonna get that into strategy, at the risk of watching guys fly off the board...

I look at it like this, The position of greatest depth is pitcher, I know we all need 4 or 5 starters,

but how big a drop off is it from 1-12...
13-24
24-36 etc.

Now look at at the drop off from

1-12 at ss...
1-12 at 3b...
1-12 at 2b...
1-12 at 1b...

If you check the first guy and the 12th guy at those positions, my draft stratgey is pretty apparent.

Not a problem I don't look until it's your pick, so you can go into your sent box and delete the first one if you want , that way I have less chance to get confused.

Good pick

Postby fredpaii » Thu Mar 29, 2012 6:05 pm

This guy made a good pick here. The songs length and energy lends itself towards getting one's freak on oh so easy. And in trying circumstances!

my Pick of the litter...

[quote:198ee54b29="nythawk"]Not too happy missing out on Lawrie and then figuring I could take Castro in round 4 and get Hosmer in round 5(thanks a lot Bill  ) I was torn between Freeman and Jennings with my round 5 pick.I chose a big lefty bat over another RHH since I have Bautista and Montero so far.Draft hasnt been too get to me so far.

Course I also forgot about Trout   Hmm Montero for Trout [/quote:198ee54b29]

I've been quiet up to now on this board, simply because the action has been fast and heavy and I've been wrapped up in work, but I am expecting to get into good discussions with our group from now in. It makes for some anxious waiting. I picked from proxies until now, but you guys ran the table on me. Interesting. :D

And I'd thought I might call my club "The Bohemians!"
