After I see what's left at #24 I am a little less excited. This just may be a format where the bottom 6 picks (6-12 and thus 13-18) are best positioned.

It is true though, though over dozens and dozens of drafts this was my first #1 that I recall. I am the Timberwolves of strat draft orders. :)

I am usually not quite this active in leagues, but I just had spinal fusion surgery ten days ago and am confined to a chair about 90% of the time for the next several weeks. So I have time.... Thank goodness for Strat!

Dan: Here's wishing you a speedy recovery from your spinal fusion surgery. Confined to a chair, huh. Can't you fish from a chair?

Also, congrats on getting the first pick. I would have taken the Reds also. They have so much talent that they can be very competitive without another pick. I've got the 9th and 16th picks. Now that you've had a chance to bask in the euphoria of having the first pick, I'd be happy to trade my picks for the Reds and 24. You might even get your beloved Twins at 9, but highly doubtful at 24.

This is my 4th straight theme league draft where I have a low pick. I should just volunteer for a low pick and take the suspense out of the draft process.

This should be a fun league playing with some of the stars of our youth. Good luck to everyone.

Thanks, Bernie, but I will take my chances, and hope to employ my favorite Red from those days, your namesake Bernie Carbo! Even with the Bosox I liked him for some reason.

My biggest problem is pitching but then again I can't afford much of that anyway... :lol:
