Away from my computer at this second, but here is my way in on the top subjects.

A) i don't mind the repick for BillyV (perhaps though as r a penalty we make it an end of the round pick instead of just an immediate pick.

B) just my two cents, but i was under the impression that roster promotions were to be maid prior to the starrt of the draft only. I can't remember if this league is different but that seems to be a fairly commoon ground rule in all the leagues i've played in. If this one states diffetently in the main rules my oppology. Hard to double chexk on my phone.

If I can't promote Alvarez, that's ok but then I don't really want to make the trade either then. What would be the difference If I open a roster spot now by trading a player for a prospect pick or waiting until after the FA draft then KD just dumping the scrub who was his last pick? :?

If that's the way it has to be then I'd ask that the trade between KD and I just be delayed until after the FA draft.

[b:c74f2f606e]5) Prospects can be promoted to the major league roster at any time, provided there is roster space available. Once promoted all prospects lose their prospect status, and cannot be demoted back to prospect status. [/b:c74f2f606e]

Trade and promotion looks good to me and promotion is within the rules and guidelines as originally posted

Having BillyV repick isn't a problem - but he repicks at his own leisure and the draft continues regardless. He doesn't get the choice of any player that was drafted AFTER his changed pick. And this only applies to "unleashed" players. You can't change your pick of a carded player except under extreme circumstances or commish ruling.

The rules can get a little hazy regarding prospect promotions around draft time. During non-draft periods you can only promote prospects IF you have room for them, and can't drop anyone to make room.

But during the draft periods the rosters are in flux, and I think promotions DURING the draft are subject to commish rulings. In my GMKL league I will allow promotions of additional prospects IN LIEU of you next draft pick. So if you'd rather promote a prospect than draft you can - you essentially use that draft slot as a promotion slot.

The promotion looks fine to me. I know there has been discussion about this in other leagues on if this should be allowed. We can change the rule to only allow promotions when we are making cuts if that is what everyone wants, but as far as the rules now Rosco's promotion is legal.

My argument for being allowed to promote is the fact that I opened up an additional roster spot to do it by trading a player for a prospect pick.

So if the promotion is legal, KD can confirm and we are good to go. :D

I think Billy should be able to repick, but agree with KD in that he doesn't get a re-do. It should be treated as if he picked someone already on a roster.

As for the promotion, I think it's a little bit dicey. I'm fine with it, as long as we make the yearly prospect promotion necessary BEFORE the draft. I don't think you should be able to use the end of your draft to promote your required players, or else I would have done that this year and kept more players. I think if you have prospects for one year, and choose to promote them, as is the case here, then that could be OK.
