Hmmm

My thought is he should drop johnson for halliday and we can get going with the league - halliday might be the next most expensive SP

Again, I'm happy to take my mistake park pick to stay fair as someone made a double 1B pick

It doesn't bother me on the parks - I'm going to reinvent my team post draft as is my MO :)

No, that's not fair. Peole may be planning on taking Halladay in the AD figuring DT was all set and no one else had the cap room. No need to take him during our LD because if that. Not fair for DT to take Halladay.

Since he messed up, he has to back up to where the mistake was made. It was made when he took Sizemore and then Furcal. He didn't have the cap to take them so he should tell us who he's "picking" instead so no one puts them on their draft card.

How did this happen? Isn't there logic in the draft site to prevent an owner drafting players that puts him over the cap?

Nope. I should have caught it, but my spreadsheet was set up for a 100 mil league for some reason.

He should drop the player that made him unable to get under the cap and autodraft one extra player. Simple. He can't have the right to.select a player that may be on the draft list of a team that has entered the league already. It is not as elegant a solution as I would like but it seems better than the alternatives presented.

Smokey, that would work too. It's a bit harsher, but not all that much since he'll be drafting .50 guys anyway.

AND, he has to drop both Furcal and Sizemore to have enough room to get under the cap. Those were the last two guys who put him over.

An additional point is you can't just arbitrarily drop a guy you drafted in earlier rounds. We all probably had guys we woulda loved to have drafted as the draft progressed, but couldn't due to salary cap guidelines.

If I'm not mistaken, this exact thing happened with DT in the last NLD.

And the reason the draft site didn't stop him from picking those last two players is because he "skipped" those picks on DD and posted them here in this thread.

Jeep, not quite true. The Sizemore pick which he did on DD is actually the one that put him over.

I don't remember DT doing this before. I don't think it's happened in quite awhile, but I could be wrong
