i have a question about entering my team. I did my card using the ATG6 regular player set, if i switch the player set choice to the ATG6 post ww2 category will it erase my team and will i have to pick my team again?

I don't know if it will erase the team completely, since the Expansion Era rosters in post-World War are identical to those in ATG6. But you can never be too sure about anything here...
