I think I remember Bernie saying a while ago that, once SOM has taken over running the game, he would have access to the [i:fc3a95d25f]actual[/i:fc3a95d25f] SOM cards that would represent those Arky and E. Mathews years, and that he would then replace those two cards he imported from Fantasim with the legit SOM cards. So, my understanding is that the current Arky and Eddie cards that so many abhor have their days numbered.

I have less problem with the Mathews card having a lot of HRs since he did have 47 than I do with the Arky card. Probably not truly accurate but less silly.

It will be interesting if the Mathews card remains after we get the fielding stats screen. Will those numbers reveal that those of us using that card should be carrying a cheap defensive replacement for the late innings.

I did not ask for Fantasim cards, so yes. Doesnt matter to me what he does with Fantasim, but why does it need to be brought into SOM--most don't want them.

Unfortunately, they they took a great concept and dropped the ball by making it a light version and then completely abandoning it so they could make changes here every two months. And you all still complain...

Not sure what that means. It implies people asked for something and complained when they got it.

and for the record--I've continuously praised the improvements to the engine and interface...and have been befuddled by the typical scenario of Bernie posting an enhancement, we all say "great" and then people start chiming in with "but what about this--why doesn't this widget do this" etc

If you reread my post, you'll see that my response was to the slandering of the Fantasim game. I went on to say that that game (Fantasim) has been abandoned by Bernie and TSN while this game gets updates and additions on a near monthly basis, and all I ever read here are complaints about this or that. The final straw was reading about how you didn't want the Fantasim additions, while we who play the Fantasim game would kill for one new card, even a new font would be nice.

yes--I am complaining about the Fantasim cards being in ATG. No one asked for non-SOM cards to be in ATG, these are seasons that were made to be non-representative of the stats. These are cards that do not go through the same norming and development process. Leave them in Fantasim.

forgive my ignorance, but if the fantasim cards arent really SOM cards, why have they been included in the ATG set at all?
