Felix was one of my favorite extras for a long time, but I was surprised to see these two years in his career stat line.

If those years were 2004 and 2005 people would be exchanging the "I know who used steroids" looks.

Haha. Great point. Back then the excuse for someone coming out of nowhere to pop 30 was, "he was just growing into his body" and "they didn't give him much to hit" after the totals came back to normal. Oh how things have changed.

it was probably more likely that he went to fenway and became a starter for those 2 years.

He used Blue Pills in those years. We just don't hear about it. Plus working out with weights was taboo.

Astrodome probably did not help his hitting but what a fall. Did he get hurt?
Jim Bouton called the pills they would take "greenies." Speed. Is hard to believe they would contribute to more power though.
