As I understand the new rules, I can promote a prospect to take the roster spot that opened up as a result of the unbalanced trade I made today.
He doesn't have a card, but if that's the case, I'll promote:
Tsuyoshi Nishioka 2B/SS MIN
If someone could confirm this is how it now works, we can consider it official.

Yes, now that you have a open roster spot you can promote a prospect.

That's right. You can promote him, but I agree with Rosco: is there any reason to?
You don't need to have the max number on the roster and you could either call someone up of use, or leave that spot open and drop fewer players for the supplemental draft.

Deal is confirmed.
Peter now has 3 open spots on his roster so will not have to make a drop before the supp draft unless he adds a player. I will have to make one drop in order to obtain a 1st round supp pick for Peter and to create a spot for me to draft his 3rd round supp pick.
I now also have to drop 2 players to accomodate my new acquistions.
