With the trade you're at 40 players and done drafting. Nishioka has to remain a prospect as there's no room on your roster to promote him.
Whether you can drop Kalish and keep a draft pick is something the commish will have to approve as your draft was over once the trade was made. And if you're allowed to drop Kalish and keep the draft pick it should be a supplemental pick after everyone's finished picking.
According to the rules, there are only 3 ways you can release a player:
a) Pre-draft release before the F/A draft
b) Pre-draft release before the Supplemental draft
c) To bring your roster down to 40 after an unbalanced trade.[/quote]
I don't see how dropping Kalish would be legal. If you want to rework the trade and not include him in it then that is fine. Otherwise, your roster is at 40.
