[b:2505d37d76]Prize:[/b:2505d37d76] the soon to be released book with the same name by Marty Appel

[b:2505d37d76]Card Set:[/b:2505d37d76] ATG VI - AL Only

[b:2505d37d76]Rules: [/b:2505d37d76]

1) All managers MUST DRAFT and KEEP TEN (10) players from the [b:2505d37d76]Yankees[/b:2505d37d76], a 192 player draft pool.
2) All managers MUST DRAFT and KEEP FIVE (5) players from the[b:2505d37d76] Red Sox[/b:2505d37d76] on their rosters at all times. Why the Red Sox? Well, since 1901 the Yankees have shared the most players with the Red Sox (899).
3) All managers MUST DRAFT and KEEP FIVE (5) players from the [b:2505d37d76]Indians [/b:2505d37d76]on their rosters at all times. Why the Indians? Well, since 1901 the Yankees have shared the second most players with the Indians (873).

You [b:2505d37d76]WILL[/b:2505d37d76] be able to cut or trade any of your initial 20 picks. But you must keep a 10-5-5 balance on your roster for at all times. Trades must immediately satisfy the 10-5-5 balance. So if you trade an Indian and a Red Sox, you need to get back an Indian and a Red Sox.

10-5-5 balance is based on the player card selected. Example, if you pick one of Reggie Jackson's Oakland or California cards, is does not factor into your 10-5-5 requirement, only his 1980 card would.

[b:2505d37d76]Draft:[/b:2505d37d76]
We will have a 10 round draft (serpentine, random number generated) on the message board. In each round a manager's pick consists of 2 selections (1 Yankee and 1 Indian/Red Sox). The remaining selections will be handled via auto-draft and waivers. At the end of the draft, you will have your 10 Yankees, 5 Indians, and 5 Red Sox. The rest of the rosters will be completed using autodraft and waivers, all of the remaining players from other AL franchises are available to fill out your roster. All AL players not selected from the Yankees/Indians/Red Sox are also available, as long as the 10-5-5 balance is maintained.

[b:2505d37d76]Ballparks:[/b:2505d37d76] Only AL Ballparks are available for use.

[b:2505d37d76]Salary Cap:[/b:2505d37d76] $80mil

[b:2505d37d76]Waiver Penalty:[/b:2505d37d76] 20%

[b:2505d37d76]DH:[/b:2505d37d76] Yes

So, if I get the first pick.... do I have first pick of [b:2b43f1cb3b]BOTH [/b:2b43f1cb3b]a Yankee AND a Sox/Tribe player?

Could pick 1 get you say... Ruth AND Speaker?

Absolutely, if you want to spend 37% of your salary on two HOF players!

not really the point.... the point being that you get 2 #1 picks with the first pick... and that hardly seems equitable.

True 2 #1s, but also 2 #24s. And with the talent pool in ATG, it can balance out.
